WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Hotel revenue lives or dies on relationships - and as our Group Sales Manager, you're the one building them. You'll own your assigned market segments, generate new leads through proactive prospecting, develop proposals that win business, and maintain the account relationships that keep clients coming back year after year. You'll work closely with the Director of Sales, participate in daily business reviews, attend trade shows, and stay sharp on the competitive landscape. If you're energized by building connections and converting them into booked business, this is where you belong.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Meet assigned sales, revenue, and solicitation call goals for your designated market segments.
  • Develop and execute business plans; conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, site tours, and client visits.
  • Build and maintain an active pipeline; document all client interactions in the sales management system.
  • Prepare and present personalized, creative proposals; negotiate and execute contracts with DOS approval.
  • Participate in Daily Business Review; adhere to rate guidelines.
  • Develop relationships with CVB, National Sales Offices, Planners Associations, and Chamber of Commerce.
  • Attend trade shows and market events locally and nationally; create pre- and post-trip reports.
  • Travel locally for outside sales calls and competitive market review.


SKILLS & ABILITIES YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent level of education and experience. 
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales and revenue targets.
  • Skilled prospector and relationship builder across assigned market segments.
  • Creative communicator - develops compelling proposals and presentations that capture client attention.
  • Highly adaptable; manages prospecting, writing, client meetings, and trade show activity simultaneously.
  • Warm, attentive, and service-oriented approach to all client and guest interactions.
  • Proficiency in hotel sales management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.
  • Valid Driver's License may be required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.


SCHEDULE & HOURS

This position is FULL TIME with schedules that may vary based on business need. Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, may be required. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
