Role Purpose
Examines manifest, bills of lading and air waybill to determine work procedures for releasing cargo.
Notifies consignee or representative concerning arrival dates of shipment, customs clearance requirements and tonnage shipment.
What you will be doing:
  • Examines manifest, bills of lading and air waybill to determine work procedures for releasing cargo.
  • Notifies consignee or representative concerning arrival dates of shipment, customs clearance requirements and tonnage shipment.
  • Makes cash transactions, collects payments from customers for freight prior to release
  • Prepares invoices for charges, airlines clients and management regarding freight.
  • Ensure all local airport, TSA, CBP and FAA rules are followed.

  • One-year college certificate or technical school, six months related cargo agent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to proficiently speak, read and write English
  • Previous customer service experience preferred
