Overview

DATA ANALYST (CORPIT)

Bowhead is seeking a Data Analyst in Dahlgren, VA. The role involves working with a team to manage data warehousing, data analysis, system development, training, and customer support. 

Responsibilities
  • The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing data structures and tables, validating data, and creating documentation, as well as generating online query and report specifications, database load specifications, and data validation specifications.
  • They will also need to investigate issues, conduct product analysis, and resolve problems.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree highly desired
  • Five (5+) or more years of relevant experience 
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills in relational database management systems and data warehousing, proficiency in using Cognos Tool Suite for generating dashboards and reports, and experience in writing and analyzing structured query language (SQL) queries.
  • Knowledge and experience in mathematical reasoning, as well as excellent oral and written communication abilities, are also essential for client support, requirements gathering, and validation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Experience with security assessment tools such as Nessus
  • Experience with security control implementation and testing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Desired capabilities: 

  • Knowledge of analytical tools and evaluation techniques 
  • Knowledge of government accounting (highly desired: DOD Accounting) 

Targeted salary range is $80,000 to $90,000 annually based on qualifications and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15-25 pounds 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.  US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
