Job description

About the Role

At Alteryx, we're putting data + AI to work for the Intelligent Enterprise — and our customers are at the heart of that story. Our success is measured by theirs, and we're looking for a Customer Advocacy Manager to bring that to life: running a program that celebrates our best customers, puts their voices front and center, and turns their success into stories that inspire the market and prove what's possible with Alteryx. This is a chance to own an established program and help shape its next chapter — part community builder, part storyteller, part connector — with real visibility across Sales, Product Marketing, and company events.

What You'll Do
  • Own and grow a curated group of elite customer advocates — managing engagement, surfacing opportunities for them to be recognized, and keeping the program running day to day.
  • Run our annual customer awards program end to end — nominations, judging, and recognition — celebrating our advocates' impact.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to identify customers with compelling stories, then engage and interview them directly to pull out the narratives that will resonate with and influence the market.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to ensure customer stories align with product messaging and positioning.
  • Drive case studies and customer videos from identification through publication—coordinating with video vendors for filming/production and internal writers to produce the written stories.
  • Source and prepare customers to speak at events, webinars, and other public forums.
  • Fulfill PR and analyst relations (AR) requests for customer references, quotes, and stories.
  • Work across the marketing team to match the right customer to the right opportunity at the right time — sales enablement, campaigns, events, and more.
  • Build strong internal relationships (Sales, CSM, Product Marketing, PR/AR, Events, broader Marketing) and external relationships with advocates to keep the pipeline of stories and speakers full.
  • Track and report on program engagement and advocacy outcomes.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in customer marketing, customer advocacy, community, or a related customer-facing program role.
  • A track record of owning a program independently, with limited oversight.
  • Strong interviewing skills — able to draw out a customer's story and shape it into a compelling narrative.
  • Experience briefing and managing external vendors (e.g., video production) and internal writers to produce polished deliverables.
  • Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills — proven ability to work with Sales, CSM, Product Marketing, PR/AR, and Marketing to get things done.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills, both internal and external.
  • Action‑oriented with strong project management instincts; comfortable managing multiple stories, speakers, and requests at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Why Alteryx

We’re living through a once‑in‑a‑generation shift in how work gets done, and Alteryx is helping lead it. You'll do meaningful work alongside people who care about impact, get the trust and support to shape a career that fits your ambition, and see the direct result of your work: customers turning data into decisions, and their stories inspiring the next customer to do the same.

Compensation

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation is determined by several factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. The base salary range for this role in the United States is $85,000 - $100,000. This role is also eligible for a target annual bonus of 15% of base salary, based on individual and company performance. In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, this role includes clear forms of additional compensation, such as:

  • A monthly Connectivity Plus stipend of $150 to support remote work‑related expenses.
  • An annual $200 home office reimbursement.

Alteryx offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and overall well‑being, including:

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid parental leave, caregiver leave, and flexible time off.
  • Mental health support and wellness reimbursement.
  • Career development and education assistance.
