  • Responsibilities:

    Commercial Refrigeration Technician

    Sila Services – Stoneham, MA

    What You’ll Work On
    • Walk-in coolers and freezers
    • Medium and low-temperature refrigeration systems
    • Rack and multiplex refrigeration systems
    • Reach-in coolers and freezers
    • Chillers
    • Ice machines including Hoshizaki, Manitowoc and Scotsman
    • RTUs and split systems tied into refrigeration loads
    • R404A, R448A, R449A, R134a and R410A systems
    • TXV and EEV diagnostics and replacement
    • What You’ll Do
      • Diagnose, service, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment
      • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and refrigeration issues
      • Perform preventative maintenance
      • Complete equipment installations and replacements
      • Provide repair recommendations and quotes when needed
      • Document service calls and customer information
      • Order parts and obtain pricing
      • Communicate with customers about what you found and how you’ll fix it
      • Maintain your company vehicle and equipment
      • Follow company and industry safety standards
      • Participate in an on-call rotation
      • What We’re Looking For
        • 7–10+ years of commercial refrigeration/HVAC-R service experience
        • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
        • Experience with walk-ins, rack systems, ice machines and commercial refrigeration equipment
        • Strong understanding of refrigeration controls and electrical systems
        • Experience diagnosing and replacing TXVs and EEVs
        • Comfortable working independently in the field
        • Someone who takes ownership, solves problems and takes care of the customer
        • Valid driver’s license
