Job description

Customer Service Representative I

The Customer Service Representative I (CSR) will establish and maintain positive customer relationships. In the customer service management system, the CSR I will be responsible for entering customer sales orders and releases. In addition, this individual will plan and enter production work orders. The CSR I will facilitate communications with outside sales, the customer, and the division.

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer purchase orders and releases accurately.
  • Ensure the proper part number revision on the customer order matches the system.
  • Keep track of open order report. Check with production and purchasing on status of open orders.
  • Back up customer service on order entry (for vacations).
  • Back up Receptionist with answering phones.
  • Be the liaison between production and customer service.
  • Enter ASN's on customer websites and/or communicate shipment information with the customer.
  • Back up the quoting department with entry of RFQ's and sending quotes to the customer.
  • Responsible for customers' follow-up for quotations, samples, literature, new accounts, etc.
  • Provide coverage for receptionist positions when necessary.
  • Additional duties as required by Supervisor/Management

Education & Experience:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two (1) year Customer Service experience
  • Experience working with data and order entry.

Desired:

  • Associate degree
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Bilingual
