We are looking for a combined Delivery Driver and Customer Service Representative. The ideal candidate will will be responsible for the delivery of products over established routes. The position has two parts to it. Firstly, the correct loading and unloading of the vehicle, insuring overall vehicle safety. Secondly, and equally important, providing customer service. Interaction with staff at customer locations including potential delivery to locations inside the customer location and checking stock levels. This role represents a “front line” representation of the quality of Gentell.


We are committed to the health and safety of our employees and our customers. We require employees to self-monitor COVID-19 symptoms and to follow all CDC and CMS guidelines. We provide full PPE for each of our employees who are conducting facility visits. We also provide tools for telehealth for those facilities that need to be serviced remotely.

Accountabilities

  • Operate and drive light trucks to deliver various Gentell products
  • Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle
  • Ensure correct loading and unloading of vehicle
  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures regarding the delivery of goods and while representing the company
  • Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems encountered
  • Communicate with corporate office
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
  • Communicate effectively with the public and customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form
  • Deliver to product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner
  • Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems
  • Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • (3) years experience in delivery and customer service
  • Clean Driver's abstract
  • Clear Criminal Background Check
  • Computer Literate
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques
