Position Title: Quality Operations & Continuous Improvement Manager

Duration: Direct Hire

Job Description:

The Quality Operations & Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for providing Continuous Improvement and Quality leadership for the Operations Organization for the Richland Center and Middleton, WI manufacturing operation.

Develops, implements, and maintains technical quality assurance and control systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products.

Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality requirements and considerations.

Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

You will report to the Plant Manager. You will work onsite from our Richland Center, WI location.

Responsibilities:

This position helps to guide and support a team of quality engineers responsible for driving quality process improvements, standardization and modern methods into the manufacturing process. You and your team will collaborate with engineering teams, business partners and other quality functions in order to influence the manufacturing of our products.

This role ensures that quality is built into our processes and has the ability to make major impacts on product quality, collaborating with leadership across Quality, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations.

This work requires attention to detail, managing multiple priorities and taking actions with minimal direction which may encompass but not limited to the following:

Actively participates in the development and prioritization of improvement strategies and ROX (Operational Excellence) quality programs as a member of the Operations Leadership Team.

Manages all aspects of the manufacturing Quality department

Create and manage the Quality and ROX programs within the manufacturing processes to include continuous improvement, training systems, process controls, and manufacturing Quality planning.

Prioritize and manage manufacturing Quality department objectives and projects.

Interface with the Operations Leadership team and other RA personnel to establish the business objectives, strategies, and priorities for operational improvements

Planning, establishing, directing and co-coordinating the local quality assurance procedures required to maintain an ISO 9001 quality management system to meet corporate quality policies.

Ensure Customer Quality issues on matters related to customer satisfaction and overall product quality. Drive post shipment customer product quality issue resolution. Analyze & evaluate customer feedback to drive resulting improvements - Voice of Customer (VOC) into Business Units.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Quality/ Engineering or related discipline

5+ years of quality engineering, engineering or manufacturing in manufacturing environments, with applied knowledge of Lean & Six Sigma methodologies

2+ years management experience in a quality or manufacturing environment

Certification in LEAN, Six SIGMA Black Belt, CQM, AQE is desired

Preference given to candidates with a PEO P.Eng. license, and designations in American Society for Quality (ASQ) and/or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Candidates with working experience in Engineered-to-Order (ETO) Electrical/Electronics systems manufacturing; working in environments with formal quality management (ISO9001) & production systems
