Site Plant Controller
Brooksville, FL | Finance Leadership | Electronics Manufacturing | Aerospace & Defense Focus


Spartronics is a U.S.-based manufacturing partner specializing in complex electronics and electromechanical assemblies for the aerospace & defense, medical device, industrial, and semiconductor markets. We provide end-to-end support from engineering and new product introduction (NPI) to supply chain management and high-reliability manufacturing. Our teams focus on high-mix, low-volume programs where quality, technical expertise, and strong customer partnerships are essential


We are seeking a “hands-on” Manufacturing Site-Controller to support local General Management and Corporate Finance. Responsible for financial close, costing, reporting, analysis, budgets, forecasts, asset control, and staff supervision.


Plant Controller- Reports to Corporate CFO

On-Site Work Location: Brooksville, FL

Supervisory Duties- Up to 4 Direct Reports (General Accountant, Cost Accountant, A/R and A/P Specialist)


Skills, Requirements, and Responsibilities

  • Business partner to location management including analyzing results, explaining business trends, determining customer and product line profitability, recommending improvements and other support where needed
  • Manage inventory costing, working-capital management, variance analysis, cycle counts and related controls
  • Responsible for month-end closing. This includes preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and review of financial statements. Must ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance and prepare management and operational reports. Will conduct Site Summary Review for Corporate Management
  • Responsible for accounting support functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, intercompany, capital expenditure spending, fixed assets and other areas
  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and related analysis
  • Identify and lead change management and reengineering projects to improve location accounting and analysis
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, safeguarding assets, documenting policies and procedures
  • Support corporate and audit requirements including preparing audit schedules, analysis and other special requests
  • Train and supervise staff
  • Interact with peer controllers and corporate staff to share ideas and develop best practices across the organization
  • Perform special projects and other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Education- BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance Required; MBA beneficial
  • Certifications- CPA / CMA a plus
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience, including controllership duties and cost accounting roles
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience

Citizenship Requirement- ITAR Regulations require all candidates be a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee. We can not sponsor Visas.


Physical Requirements - Typical office environment with occasional exposure to a light manufacturing environment.

Compensation- The Site Plant Controller role is an Exempt position with an annual salary. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as education, years of relevant experience, certifications, and specific Controller expertise in the manufacturing industry. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus, which is aligned with company and individual performance.
