About the Opportunity


Our client is a well-established industrial contractor with over 15years of multi-trade expertise, delivering complex projects and reliable solutions for customers across manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, material handling, and other industrial sectors.
With continued growth within their electrical division, they are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Electrical Service Manager / Project Manager to oversee service operations, support estimating activities, coordinate field execution, and help strengthen customer relationships.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited for an experienced electrical professional who understands industrial environments, can manage service activities from initial customer request through completion, and can effectively coordinate customers, field teams, suppliers, and internal operations.


About the Role


The Electrical Service Manager / Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the success and growth of the electrical division. This position will be responsible for managing service opportunities, preparing estimates, coordinating resources, supporting field teams, and ensuring electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.
The successful candidate will work closely with operations leadership, dispatch, electricians, apprentices, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects and service calls are properly planned, scheduled, and executed.


Key Responsibilities


Service Management & Coordination
  1. Manage electrical service requests from initial customer contact through completion
  2. Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, rentals, and subcontractors as required
  3. Work closely with dispatch and field leadership to schedule service work effectively
  4. Ensure technicians and electricians have the required information, tools, materials, and support to complete work successfully
  5. Monitor service activities, labour hours, material usage, and overall job performance
  6. Identify and resolve issues impacting safety, quality, scheduling, or profitability
  7. Review completed work, support job closeouts, and assist with invoicing processes

Estimating & Quoting


  1. Review customer requests, site conditions, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
  2. Prepare accurate labour, material, equipment, subcontractor, and service estimates
  3. Develop professional customer quotes and proposals
  4. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing
  5. Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions, and opportunities during the estimating process
  6. Track open quotes and maintain timely customer communication
  7. Maintain accurate records of estimates, revisions, and customer correspondence

Customer & Field Support


  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial customers through professionalism, communication, and follow-through
  2. Attend customer meetings, site visits, and job walks as required
  3. Support troubleshooting, planning, and technical coordination for industrial electrical service work
  4. Understand customer expectations and ensure they are effectively managed
  5. Respond quickly and professionally to customer needs, service requests, and active job concerns

Safety, Quality & Compliance


  1. Ensure all work is planned and executed in accordance with applicable electrical codes, safety requirements, customer standards, and company procedures
  2. Support job hazard assessments, pre-job planning, permits, and site-specific requirements
  3. Promote safe work practices and professional conduct across all service activities
  4. Assist with deficiency tracking, documentation, and corrective actions when required
Qualifications


  1. 3-5 years of mechanical project management experience in a multi-trade environment (i.e. millwrighting, electrical, fabrication, equipment relocation, pipe fitting)
  2. Valid driver’s licence with a clean record
  3. Willing to travel throughout Southwestern Ontario
  4. Open to learning new software and mobile applications
  5. Competent with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  6. Experience using CRM tools
  7. Ideal candidate is a licensed millwright, although not a requirement
