Role
Franchise Growth & Enablement is seeking a Director, Customer Data & Asset Strategy, responsible for advancing business ownership, governance, and technology enablement of customer data and franchise asset management capabilities across the enterprise. The role partners with Regional Franchise Growth & Enablement leads, Franchise Innovation, Technology, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate regional needs into scalable platform capabilities, improve the consistency and control of core customer and asset data, and support systems including My Company Manager, Company Onboarding Manager, and Company Admin.
The role also supports governance of the Franchise asset stack, including ICAs and BINs, with emphasis on data quality, lifecycle controls, documentation, audit readiness, and sustainable BIN supply. The Director supports the global 2-series BIN plan, contributes to next-generation BIN and ICA use cases, and helps implement automated, customer-consented data maintenance to improve accuracy, timeliness, traceability, and regulatory compliance. The responsibilities of this role will predominantly be:
Franchise Growth & Enablement technology enablement
Partner with Regional Franchise, Growth & Enablement function leads, Franchise Innovation and TECH to develop technology strategy for customer data and asset management systems, including My Company Manager, Company Onboarding Manager, MPI, Licensing Non-Member, and Company Admin.
Regional requirements execution:
Gather, synthesize, and deliver regional technology needs; support prioritization discussions; document region-specific requirements; and help ensure scalable capabilities across markets.
Asset Stack Ownership
Develop, manage, and support governance activities for the Franchise asset stack (ICAs, BINs, TRIDs, WIDs, ARIDs, and MAIDs), including data quality, controls, lifecycle processes, documentation, and audit readiness
Sustainable BIN supply management
Forecast global demand; establish allocation, governance, and monitoring; and ensure sustainable, compliant BIN issuance and utilization across markets and customers.
2-series BIN ubiquity
Lead strategy and execution plan of the global 2-series BIN ubiquity plan by coordinating with regions, issuers, processors, and internal stakeholders to drive adoption and ensure seamless supply for business expansion.
Next-generation BIN and ICA use cases
Define the roadmap for next-gen BIN and ICA capabilities by documenting business requirements, supporting operating model updates, and coordinating technology enablement activities.
Automated customer data updates
Develop roadmap and support implementation of automated methods for customer data maintenance and updates, including controls to comply with regulator requests in developed markets and to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and traceability.
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position has the following qualities:
Experience in payments, financial services, network operations, franchise governance, customer onboarding, or related environments where data quality, controls, and operating discipline are critical.
Strong understanding of payment network identifiers and franchise assets, including BINs, ICAs, TRIDs, WIDs, ARIDs, and MAIDs, and their impact on onboarding, authorization, routing, clearing, settlement, fraud, compliance, and reporting.
Experience with customer data, master data, onboarding, licensing, entitlement, or asset management platforms, with the ability to translate business needs into requirements, roadmaps, controls, and scalable processes.
Ability to partner with Technology, product, regional, and global teams to define priorities, support delivery, track adoption, and scale solutions across varied markets and regulatory environments.
Governance and control mindset, including experience with data quality, lifecycle management, documentation, audit readiness, regulatory response, and operational transparency.
Strong cross-functional execution skills, including structured intake, issue tracking, decision support, stakeholder alignment, and follow-through in a matrixed global environment.
Ability to communicate complex operational, technical, and regulatory topics clearly to senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and regional stakeholders.
Practical understanding of automation, workflow orchestration, APIs, rules-based processes, and data quality monitoring related to customer data maintenance.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
