Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our North Las Vegas manufacturing team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who excels in an independent work environment, consistently maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This role involves precision welding, metal fabrication, and finishing work on steel frames and components for specialized training equipment and shooting range systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welding & Fabrication:Perform hand welding and flame-cutting operations to join metal components according to specifications, blueprints, and work orders
  • Precision Work:Handle complex seams and large-scale workpieces requiring advanced welding techniques
  • Blueprint Reading:Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings accurately
  • Tool & Equipment Operation:Utilize precision measuring devices (calipers, micrometers) and material handling equipment (forklifts)
  • Template Development:Create jigs, fixtures, and work aids to ensure proper alignment and holding of parts
  • Process Optimization:Select appropriate welding methods and equipment based on metallurgy knowledge and project requirements
  • Quality Assurance:Perform measuring, layout, and finishing work to meet exact specifications
  • Continuous Improvement:Provide feedback to management for product enhancement opportunities

Education
