Site Superintendent – Custom Residential Homes

Homestead Home Builders

Homestead Home Builders is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day construction of custom homes. We are looking for someone who knows residential construction from the ground up and takes pride in delivering exceptional quality. We are far more interested in your real-world experience, leadership, and problem-solving abilities than your formal education.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all daily on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through final completion.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, vendors, and inspections in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with homeowners, project managers, architects, and trade partners.
  • Monitor job site safety and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Identify issues before they become problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Perform quality control inspections throughout every phase of construction.
  • Track project progress and provide daily updates to the office.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive hands-on experience supervising or being a foreman on a custom residential home construction.
  • Strong knowledge of residential building methods, sequencing, and local building practices and codes.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple trades and keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
  • Ability to read blueprints and manage construction schedules.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable and the ability to get things done right the first time.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, email, and basic construction management software.
