Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cabinet Maker role located in Lewistown, PA. The Cabinet Maker will build, assemble, and install custom cabinets and related millwork according to design specifications and shop drawings. Daily tasks include measuring and cutting materials, operating woodworking machinery and hand tools, fitting and finishing components, and ensuring accurate, high-quality workmanship. The role involves reading plans, troubleshooting fit and design issues, maintaining a clean and safe workshop, and collaborating with designers and installers to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Carpentry and Woodworking skills, including safe and efficient use of hand tools and power equipment.
  • Candidates should possess Cabinetry and Millwork experience, with the ability to construct, assemble, and finish custom pieces to specification.
  • Candidates should possess Spatial Design abilities, such as reading and interpreting drawings, layouts, and measurements for accurate fabrication.
  • Candidates should have attention to detail, including precise measuring, cutting, and finishing, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Candidates should have experience with workshop safety practices, material handling, and basic equipment maintenance.
  • Candidates should demonstrate reliability, time management, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in a cabinet shop or woodworking environment is preferred; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry or cabinetry is beneficial.
