Job description

Hillcraft of Wisconsin LLC, a leading architectural casework manufacturer based in Madison, Wisconsin, is hiring full-time Custom Cabinetry / Casework Builders to join our production team. This position is ideal for experienced woodworking professionals who take pride in quality craftsmanship, precision, and building custom fixtures, casework, counters, and related wood components.

 

What You’ll Do

o   Build and assemble custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, counters, and wood components according to project specifications.

o   Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to complete work accurately.

o   Operate woodworking equipment safely and effectively, including table saws, routers, and related shop machinery.

o   Perform precision fitting, sanding, and preparation work to support high-quality finished products.

o   Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards and customer expectations.

o   Work closely with team members to complete projects accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

o   Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

 What We’re Looking For:

o   Previous experience in cabinetmaking, woodworking, architectural millwork, finish carpentry, or a related field.

o   Hands-on experience working with laminate, veneers, hardwoods, and a variety of wood substrates.

o   Experience with solid surface materials, acrylics/plexiglass, and glass is a plus.

o   Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documentation.

o   Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

o   Proficiency with woodworking machinery, hand tools, and standard shop practices.

o   Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

o   Reliable attendance, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
