Position: CUSTODIAN
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. General custodial experience
  2. The ability to lift 50 lbs.
  3. Must be able to complete basic physical and visual activities
  4. Criminal background checks are required

Reports to: Custodial Supervisor and building administrator
Contract Year: 12 months
Salary: Subject to non-certified salary schedule
The basic function of this position:
  1. To maintain the buildings and grounds appointed by the custodial supervisor or building principal
  2. To give at least 24-hour notice for the use of a personal or vacation day
  3. Perform all duties assigned by the administration
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Perform General Cleaning
  2. Request Custodial Supplies
  3. All other duties as assigned
Major Responsibility No. 1: General Cleaning
Key Duties:

  1. Check and secures building at beginning and end of shift for the purpose of ensuring the safety of the building
  2. Clean buildings as scheduled
  3. Make minor repairs as needed
  4. Inform supervisor when any major repairs are needed
  5. Keep maintenance tools in good condition and readily available
  6. Set up and break down chairs, tables, and equipment when needed
  7. Perform grounds keeping duties, mowing, grass and tree trimming, applying herbicide, removing debris and keeping grounds in good condition
  8. Clear snow from entrances and walk and spreads ice melting product
  9. Receives deliveries and assists with unloading trucks and storing supplies
Major Responsibility No. 2: Custodial Supplies
Key Duties:
  1. Request janitorial supplies when needed
  2. Request all paper and other lavatory supplies
