Weโ€™re looking for a driven and customer-focused External Sales Representative to join our Fantech Trade team in Huntingwood. In this role, youโ€™ll take the lead in generating new sales opportunities, enhancing product visibility in the market, and supporting both our external and internal sales teams. Youโ€™ll also play a key part in delivering outstanding service to our customersโ€”all with the goal of driving business growth and expanding our market share.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing exceptional working relationships with customers, particularly major accounts, to facilitate effective negotiation and acquisition of orders in line with sales and margin objectives.
  • Identifying buying chain influencers and decision makers and develop their support in relation to specification and purchasing of Fantech products.
  • Ensuring timely, accurate and competitive quotation of all tenders, and timely follow up of all outstanding quotations
  • Being constantly alert to new prospects and following up existing inactive accounts.
  • Reporting, including weekly call reports, and maintaining CRM data.
  • Actively supporting other members of the sales team as required.
  • Participating in industry events, site visits, in branch training, and trade events.
Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful you will need:

  • Exceptional customer service with an ability to deliver excellent presentations
  • Proven sales skills and the ability to negotiate orders and problem solve
  • Demonstrated previous experience with Electrical Wholesalers and or Electrical Contractors in NSW is preferred but not essential.
  • Engineering, tertiary, or trade qualifications would be an advantage but not essential.
  • A high level of motivation and commitment to achieving outstanding sales results
  • A valid Driver's license
  • Superior interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills
