Also known as an instructional developer, their typical job duties include observing and training teachers, ordering new instructional materials, and ensuring the school curriculum meets all state guidelines. Other responsibilities involve meeting with school administrators and assessing students’ grades with the goal of helping the school raise their overall test scores. Some curriculum coordinators specialize in a particular grade level while others specialize in a certain academic subject or area. For example, some work primarily with special education students and their teachers.
