Location: Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico
Position Type: Non-Personal Services Contract
Position Summary
Provides administrative and program support for the Catholic Religious Education (RE) Program at Fort Buchanan in coordination with the Catholic Priest, Director of Religious Education, and Religious Support Office. Ensures programs operate in accordance with Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) guidance and Army Regulation 165-1.
Key Responsibilities
  • Attend required RSO and Parish meetings.
  • Prepare and submit monthly RE calendar.
  • Coordinate facility reservations and develop program publicity (45 days prior to events).
  • Track and report RE attendance monthly.
  • Prepare and organize curriculum materials; set up/reset classrooms.
  • Submit monthly report of consumed supplies.
  • Collect documentation and prepare sacramental records in AMS portal (within 30 days of sacrament).
Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain AMS Catechist Certification within 90 days.
  • Successful completion of Tier 1 background check (required for working with children).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
  • Professional demeanor suitable for military religious environment.
