Centennial Olympic Park will serve as the destination for the FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta, welcoming fans from across the globe to unite and celebrate the world’s largest soccer event. The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is curating live entertainment, soccer match viewings, and family-friendly brand activations for fans to enjoy FIFA World Cup 2026 in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

HOSPITALITY & EVENTS INTERN POSITION SUMMARY  

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority is currently recruiting Hospitality & Event Interns to support FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park from June 11, 2026 through July 15, 2026.

This paid internship provides hands-on experience supporting guest services, ticketing operations, hospitality administration, and fan engagement during one of the world’s largest sporting events. Interns will play an important role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while assisting operational teams with event logistics, credentialing support, administrative coordination, and hospitality activations across the campus.

Reporting to the Guest Experience and Hospitality leadership team, interns will support daily operations in a fast-paced, high-energy environment requiring professionalism, adaptability, strong communication skills, and a hospitality-first mindset.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate authenticity, accountability, and teamwork while helping create welcoming and memorable experiences for guests, partners, sponsors, and team members throughout FIFA World Cup Atlanta 2026.

Candidates under final consideration will be required to undergo a criminal history evaluation prior to employment.

HOSPITALITY & EVENTS INTERN PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. HOSPITALITY & EVENTS INTERN WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast-paced, professional work environment across the Georgia World Congress Center Authority campus.
  • Interns should expect to work outdoors during summer months (June–July) and be comfortable in varying weather conditions.
  • Schedule requires open availability with flexibility to support events as operational needs arise.
  • Role includes on-site guest engagement, hospitality operations, administrative coordination, and event support responsibilities.

HOSPITALITY & EVENTS INTERN ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the direction of Guest Experience and Hospitality leadership, the Events Hospitality Intern will support hospitality and event operations during FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta. Responsibilities may include:

Guest Experience & Hospitality Support

  • Welcome and assist guests, partners, vendors, sponsors, and VIP attendees throughout the festival footprint.
  • Provide directional assistance, event information, and customer service support to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Support hospitality lounges, premium spaces, information areas, and guest engagement activations.
  • Assist with resolving guest concerns professionally and efficiently while escalating issues when appropriate.

Ticketing & Credentialing Support

  • Assist with ticket scanning operations, guest check-in procedures, and access verification processes.
  • Support credential distribution and administrative tracking for approved staff, vendors, and partners.
  • Help monitor access points and assist guests with entry procedures and event policies.

Administrative & Operational Coordination

  • Support scheduling coordination, inventory tracking, hospitality documentation, and event reporting.
  • Assist with distributing operational materials, signage, credentials, and guest information resources.
  • Maintain organized records and provide administrative support to event leadership teams.
  • Assist with event communication and coordination between internal departments and external partners.

Event Operations Support

  • Assist with event setup, breakdown, and hospitality area preparation before and after operational hours.
  • Support on-site activations and fan engagement initiatives across Centennial Olympic Park.
  • Help ensure hospitality areas remain organized, stocked, and guest-ready throughout daily operations.

Professionalism & Compliance

  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with guests, executives, sponsors, and event partners.
  • Follow all Georgia World Congress Center Authority policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Support a culture focused on service excellence, teamwork, safety, and operational readiness.

Perform other duties as assigned in support of FIFA World Cup Atlanta 2026 operations.

HOSPITALITY & EVENTS INTERN KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts based on event operations.

HOSPITALITY & EVENTS INTERN EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate, pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Sports Management, Tourism, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, customer service, ticketing, events, entertainment, tourism, or venue operations is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interest in live events, sports, hospitality, entertainment, tourism, or large-scale event operations.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to positively represent the Authority and FIFA Fan Festival Atlanta.
