What is a curated?

Curated jobs typically refer to positions or job listings that have been carefully selected or organized to match specific criteria, such as industry relevance, quality, or candidate fit. These jobs are often featured on specialized job boards or platforms that focus on providing high-quality opportunities, saving job seekers time by filtering out less relevant postings. Curated jobs may also involve roles where professionals help clients by offering personalized recommendations or expert advice in a particular niche. On a daily basis, they might organize exhibitions, develop educational programs, and collaborate with conservators to ensure proper preservation of items. Curators also often work closely with other departments, such as marketing and education, to enhance visitor engagement and promote upcoming exhibits. Additionally, their role may involve grant writing, donor relations, and keeping up-to-date with trends in their field to continually enrich the collection.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a curator, and why are they important?

Job description

About Us:
Curated Events is a market leader in event rental services. We're an award-winning team of event production pros, specializing in tents, linens, and design-forward event rental essentials. Our team works hand in hand with the area's top venues, caterers, planners, designers, businesses, and universities. Our mission is simple: Service. Selection. Style. Delivered. We're seeking go-getters, creative thinkers, hard workers, and outstanding team players to be part of our Delivery and Setup Installation Team.
About You:
You are organized, hardworking, and excited to be part of a great team. You show up big for your clients and your teammates. You're detailed and precise, and you're eager to learn new skills and grow your career as part of a great team.
Your customers will include venues, caterers, event planners, engaged couples, universities, businesses, and non-profit organizations. You're excited to connect with each of them, and you're ready to provide excellent customer service on site at the area's best event venues.
Think about who you think of when you think of a company like UPS - it's not the folks in the office who come to mind, it's the driver who arrives each day. Now picture having an opportunity to join an outstanding team, and to represent a brand in that way, on the most special days of people's lives. You'd be the on-site face of Curated Events, setting up event rental essentials as part of an excellent team.
The items you'd deliver and set up include tables, chairs, dance floors, tents, lighting, dishes, catering equipment, lounge furniture and more. It's okay if you don't know everything about each one of these items, because we invest in lots of education and training for our team. We love teaching new skills, helping to grow careers for years to come.
You're seeking a career where no two days are exactly the same, and you love visiting new places, meeting new people, and working hard to make their events amazing.
You want to be surrounded by people who work just as hard as you do, and who treat each other well. Company culture is important to you, because you know it's the key to enjoying a long work day - when you're into overtime hours, you want to enjoy the people you're with!
You have an aptitude for learning new things, and are ready to learn about high-level event rentals and production. You have schedule flexibility, as events get busier in some seasons than others, and days can be long but they always end with a strong sense of accomplishment.
While you can drive a truck, you know that the title of Driver doesn't tell the full story. You know the Driver is so many things: Team Leader. Customer Service Liaison. Tone Setter. Role Model.
As our Drivers grow and learn with us, they often get promoted into so many roles, including but certainly not limited to:
-Dispatcher
-Dispatch Manager
-Tenting Director
-Operations Manager
-General Manager
As a growing business, there are always opportunities to grow here with us, and we love to train and promote from within. We also offer competitive wages, as well as benefits: health insurance, retirement, life insurance, and more. We have a strong PTO policy that rewards loyalty on the team (the longer you're with us, the more paid days off you get!), and we have lots of pathways to professional growth.
Our Ideal Candidate has:
  • Experience driving commercial vehicles (CDL not required)
  • 3-year clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass DOT Exam
  • Organization skills
  • Communication skills - English, Spanish, or Both
  • Teamwork abilities
  • A focus on safety
  • Knowledge of safe truck loading and unloading preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs repeatedly in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings
  • work in a fast-paced and physically demanding role requiring regular heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules
  • Previous mover/moving company experience is a bonus!

If this sounds like a great fit, we look forward to connecting with you! We're excited to add great new team members to our award-winning team.
Curated Events is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
