Job Description
House of Sound is the flagship expression of Bose Luxury-a living, immersive environment where sound, design, and culture come together to define a new standard for luxury audio.
More than a showroom, House of Sound is a brand beacon and cultural platform-designed to attract new luxury audiences, inspire desire, and demonstrate the emotional and experiential power of McIntosh and Sonus faber.
The General Manager & Programming lead is responsible for operating, curating, and elevating this space-ensuring that it delivers exceptional daily experiences while also establishing House of Sound as a relevant destination within the luxury and cultural landscape of New York City.
This role blends operational excellence, cultural programming, and client experience-ensuring the House is both flawlessly run and continuously evolving.
Roles & Responsibilities
House of Sound Operations & Facility Excellence
- Coordinate with Bose Facilities to maintain functionality, aesthetics, and operational readiness
- Ensure luxury-level standards across presentation, cleanliness, and systems
- Manage vendors, maintenance, and day-to-day operations
Programming, Cultural Partnerships & Brand Elevation
- Develop and manage a dynamic programming calendar
- Recruit tastemakers, cultural leaders, and luxury partners
- Establish House of Sound as a destination within NYC luxury ecosystem
Guest Experience, Hospitality & Listening Excellence
- Oversee hospitality team and guest journey
- Coordinate audio / training specialists to deliver exceptional demos
- Ensure high-quality, emotionally engaging listening experiences
Brand Environment & Spatial Storytelling
- Develop brand-specific and cross-brand environments
- Partner with Creative to evolve spatial storytelling
- Recruit partners to enhance aesthetics and functionality
Client Engagement, Tours & Sales Enablement
- Host VIP visits, tours, and demonstrations
- Support dealer-led sales through high-quality experiences
- Create environments that drive desire and conversion
External Representation & Brand Ambassadorship
- Build relationships across luxury, design, and cultural communities
- Represent House of Sound at external events and experiences
- Extend brand presence beyond the physical space
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with Product & Property Marketing, Activation, Training, and Creative
- Ensure alignment, planning, and execution across all initiatives
Performance Tracking & Optimization
- Track event effectiveness, guest engagement, and sales influence
- Identify opportunities to improve programming and experience
Experience & Skills
- 8-12+ years in luxury retail, hospitality, experiential, or cultural programming
- Experience managing high-end spaces and event programming
- Strong network or ability to engage tastemakers and partners
