How much do cuda developer jobs pay per year?
What is a Cuda developer?
A CUDA Developer is a software engineer who specializes in programming using NVIDIA's CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) platform. They leverage parallel computing to optimize and accelerate applications, mainly in fields like AI, scientific computing, and high-performance computing. Their responsibilities often include writing GPU-accelerated code, optimizing performance, and working with frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
What are some common challenges faced by Cuda developers in their daily work?
Cuda Developers often encounter challenges related to optimizing code for maximum performance while managing the unique memory hierarchies and parallel processing features of GPU architectures. Debugging and profiling GPU code can be more complex than standard CPU programming, requiring specialized tools and a strong understanding of concurrency. Collaboration with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software architects is common, as Cuda Developers often integrate their code into larger, multi-disciplinary projects. These challenges make the role both stimulating and rewarding for those who enjoy solving intricate computational problems.
What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Cuda developer position, and why are they important?
To thrive as a Cuda Developer, you need strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, parallel computing concepts, and hands-on experience with NVIDIA CUDA architecture. Familiarity with GPU development tools such as NVIDIA Nsight, CUDA Toolkit, and relevant certifications can further validate your expertise. Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration are valuable soft skills in this position. These capabilities are crucial for efficiently developing, debugging, and optimizing high-performance GPU-accelerated applications in demanding computational environments.

Job description
Be at the forefront of innovation with NVIDIA. Our CUDA Libraries & Frameworks Product Marketing Manager role offers an outstanding opportunity to build the future of accelerated computing. This is your chance to join an elite team in Santa Clara, where your contributions will have a lasting impact on technology and society.
We are looking for a technical, AI-first CUDA Product Marketing Manager. This is a hands-on PMM role for someone who uses AI coding agents and automation as part of daily execution, not as an occasional productivity aid. Come help craft the story for CUDA, core NVIDIA acceleration libraries like cuDNN, NCCL, NIXL, and AI frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, vLLM, and SGLang.
What you'll be doing: Own positioning and messaging for CUDA as a developer platform, including the CUDA programming model, compilers, and core libraries. Make technical capabilities clear, credible, and useful for developers and technical decision-makers. Translate technical features for core libraries such as cuDNN, NCCL, CUTLASS, and TensorRT-LLM into data-driven developer narratives, release messages, proof points, ecosystem informed claims, and field-ready assets.
Describe how NVIDIA speeds up AI frameworks and runtimes such as PyTorch, JAX, vLLM, and SGLang, linking low-level platform features to benefits for developers. Use AI coding agents daily to build PMM operating systems: competitive-intelligence agents, automated research pipelines, content auditing, reporting, and partner mapping. Turn documentation, performance benchmarks, GitHub issues, customer signals, and roadmap updates, into messaging assets.
Lead go-to-market execution for CUDA launches and core library releases. What we need to see: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of technical marketing, developer marketing, or related go-to-market experience for developer software.
Deep technical literacy in accelerated computing, AI/ML software, or adjacent technical ecosystems, with the ability to explain technical tradeoffs and performance claims credibly. Practical proficiency with developer tools such as GitHub, command-line workflows, APIs, documentation, notebooks, Python or JavaScript, data analysis tools, or lightweight application prototyping. This role does not require production software engineering, but it does require hands-on technical independence.
A portfolio or walkthrough of AI-guided projects that materially increased speed, quality, insight, or scale, with an emphasis on applications built around Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor. Showcase personally built or operated, concrete examples of AI-assisted workflows - such as content review systems, dashboards, or launch trackers. Ways to stand out from the crowd: Practical experience in CUDA, GPU programming, Python, C++, working with machine learning tools including PyTorch, JAX, and vLLM, or SGLang.
Experience marketing core developer platforms, SDKs, libraries, or open-source frameworks to deeply technical audiences, with evidence that your messaging survives engineering review. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD for Level 3, and 152,000 USD - 230,000 USD for Level 4.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Applications for this job will be accepted at least until August 10, 2026. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
