Job Details:
Performs basic and intermediate testing and repair for equipment from field sites. Operates electronic test equipment pertaining to the assigned basic/intermediate repairs. Performs needed tests, troubleshooting and repairs of subassemblies for the basic/intermediate repairs assigned. Works in a Depot shop environment on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's), subassemblies, and other individual parts as required. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Have a basic/intermediate understanding of schematics, part/wire lists, test procedures, work orders, customer specifications
  • Diagnoses, locates, troubleshoots malfunction, and repairs as needed
  • Identify and assist senior personnel in set up and operation of electronic test equipment to perform intermediate operational and functional tests on assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Assists senior personnel in the performance of their duties when needed
  • Performs technical and semi-technical tasks not always electronic in natures
  • Maintains appropriate records and documentation in accordance with depot procedures and requirements. (examples including, SAP, Data collection documents)
  • Assists senior personnel in providing feedback to their supervisor and planning on time restraints and productivity goals set by management
  • Possesses ability to understand verbal instructions to rework, repair, test and troubleshoot equipment and PCB's

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Two years college/tech school degree in electronics, and / or a minimum of four years' experience in an electronics related industry.
  • Must have through hole and surface mount components soldering skill.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work in hectic and noisy environments.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
