Specialty Surgeon Veterinarian - Manhattan

Bond Vet

New York, NY

$220K - $275K/yr

Full-time

Medical, Retirement, PTO

Re-posted 9 days ago

Job description

Bond Vet is building the next generation of veterinary clinics from the ground up - and we're looking for a motivated Board-Certified Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. With no ER duties, no on-call, a reliable schedule and opportunities to mentor as desired, this is an exciting opportunity for a surgeon looking for excellent quality of life in an engaging, culture-forward environment.

The next member of Bond's expanded specialty services will provide specialty-level surgery consultations and procedures to our large network of pets and pet parents, as well as to external hospital referrals. A pilot program for outpatient surgery has been a massive success, and we are ready to expand our offerings and help more pets.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform soft tissue and orthopedic procedures on an outpatient basis
  • Perform consultations for Bond clients as well as referrals from external hospitals
  • Partner with our Bond General Practice and Urgent care providers, creating a complete ecosystem for surgery and long term follow up
  • [As Interested} Engage in our active teaching programs to help new graduates learn surgery and our experienced practitioners hone their skills (this will include philanthropy opportunities!)

Qualifications:

  • Veterinary Medical Degree (DVM/VMD or foreign equivalent)
  • Board certification or residency-trained and licensed in good standing or be able to obtain licensure to practice as a veterinary professional in New York and/or New Jersey State.
  • DEA licensure and Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) certificate if needed for all states for clinics under supervision.
Why Bond Vet
  • Doctor-led company with a collaborative, supportive culture.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities to shape and influence the growth of a rapidly expanding, mission-driven organization.
  • Mission with community impact. Expand access and advocacy through programs like Bond to the Rescue and education partnerships-do well and do good.
  • Tech-enabled medicine. Early access to tools that reduce admin and raise quality (AI scribing, inventory automation, Cubex) plus our Bond Vet Academy (spatial computing/Apple Vision Pro) for 3D procedural training.
  • Career pathways & mentorship. Develop AMD/RMD/MD leaders; grow your own scope with true sponsorship.

Salary Range:  $220,000 - $275,000 annually with above market production. Exact salary will be dependent on the candidate's schedule, skills, location and experience level. Bond Vet offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits (paid health insurance including generous paid parental leave, paid-time off, paid continuing education time-off and stipend, 401K retirement plan with employer contribution).
