CT Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Pipefitter to join our team. As a Journeyman Pipefitter, you will play a critical role in installing, assembling, and maintaining mechanical piping systems. • Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and minimize pipe cutting.
• Thread and bend pipe by hand or with a pipe bending machine.
• Assemble and join piping using methods such as threaded, chalked, wiped, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
• Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets, and hangers using hand tools.
• Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges.
• Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and building codes.
