Behavioral Health Clinician (CSW or ACMHC)

$68,000 – $73,000 | 4-Day Work Week | 15 Paid Holidays | Leadership Growth Opportunity

Our client has retained us to identify an experienced Certified Social Worker (CSW) or Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC) for an outstanding opportunity with a respected nonprofit behavioral health organization in Utah dedicated to helping adults with serious mental illness achieve stability, independence, and long-term recovery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a certified counselor / pre-independent clinician who wants to combine meaningful direct client care, team collaboration, and leadership growth in a mission-driven setting. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary community-based behavioral health team while helping deliver recovery-oriented, trauma-informed services that reduce hospitalization and improve long-term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct face-to-face services to adults with serious mental illness
  • Maintain 10+ hours weekly of direct clinical care
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
  • Support coordination of recovery-oriented, evidence-based behavioral health services
  • Assist with treatment planning, service delivery, and client engagement strategies
  • Support integration of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and person-centered treatment approaches
  • Help maintain adherence to community-based behavioral health best practices, including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model standards where applicable

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
  • Current Utah credential as a CSW or ACMHC
  • Experience in community mental health, case management, crisis services, or serious mental illness populations preferred
  • Strong knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria preferred
  • Experience with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, harm reduction, and recovery-oriented practices preferred
  • Working knowledge of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) or similar community-based treatment models preferred
