Job Summary

Scope:

Control Solutions Group, an EMCOR Group company, is seeking a highly motivated BMS Service Sales Executive to join our team and drive sales for our Building Management System Service Department. As a Service Sales Executive, under the direction of the Service Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers to identify the scope of work, provide solutions and close sales. Familiarity with controls, BMS, BAS, DDC, Building Automation, Building Management, EPMS and Energy Management Systems are preferred.

We provide turnkey building automation, critical and electrical facilities system monitoring and energy management systems installed by our construction contracting department as well as full-service preventative maintenance, system upgrades and repairs to end users and clients through our Service Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify, target, and recommend potential opportunities to the Service Manager.
  • Arrange meetings, initiate sales momentum, collect necessary information to build estimates and proposals using standardized tools and procedures.
  • Estimate and develop proposals for service, retrofit control projects and service contracts that the Service Manager deems as having the requisite potential.
  • Work with and negotiate with EMCOR/CSG vetted electrical sub-contractors for control installation and write estimates; same applies to other vendors providing sub-contract services on projects.
  • Assist CSGโ€™s Service Manager on selling service contracts on new accounts.
  • Attend pre-bid project meetings, walkthroughs and client meetings to record and compile information needed to assess project requirements.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with Building Owners/Operators and Mechanical Contractors with the intent to sell and grow our Building Management Systems Service Business.
  • Collaborate internally with the Administrators, Operations/Installation, Engineering and Service teams to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Manage our customers on every level with the highest level of integrity and sense of urgency.
  • Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with members of the company, clients, subcontractors, and other trade contractors.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 yearsโ€™ previous sales experience and a proven track record of sales success in Building Management Systems or Control Systems, integration, and EPMS in mission critical and commercial facilities.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Visio and/or AutoCAD a plus.
  • Knowledge of CRM and Bid Tracer a plus.
  • BACnet Control Systems Sales experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Minimum 3-5 years field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, service, retrofit, and calibration.
  • Extensive knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, configuration, management, security and diagnostics.
