This role is ideal for a developer who enjoys working close to the hardware and wants to have a tangible impact on the security of global infrastructure in a sophisticated technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-performance, portable C-code for modern encryption protocols and security libraries.
  • Optimize software for extreme memory and processing constraints without sacrificing performance.
  • Collaborate with hardware vendors to ensure seamless integration of security stacks on new platforms.
  • Perform deep-dive code reviews and vulnerability assessments to maintain ironclad software security.
  • Take ownership of the full feature lifecycle, from academic research to production-ready code.
  • Draft comprehensive technical specifications and reference materials for external engineering teams.
  • Contribute to community-driven security standards and technical documentation.
Core Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3-7 years of professional success in low-level software or firmware development.
  • High proficiency in C programming, specifically for resource-constrained systems.
  • Strong grasp of secure networking fundamentals and encrypted communication channels.
  • Experience navigating various operating systems and development toolchains.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for secure coding best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, global engineering team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting.

If you are ready to apply your systems intuition to the most challenging security problems in the industry, we want to hear from you. This is a rare opportunity to join a team where your code will protect the world's infrastructure. Take the next step in your career by submitting your resume and a summary of your expertise in embedded systems to Webster & Webster Associates today.
