We are building a focused, performance-driven sales organization and are looking for senior sellers who can own brand relationships, drive narrative-based campaigns, and unlock meaningful brand marketing budgets.
The Role
The Director of Brand & Growth Partnerships is a senior individual contributor responsible for developing strategic partnerships with leading financial brands. This role focuses on helping clients achieve both brand-building and performance marketing objectives through Benzinga's full suite of advertising solutions-including sponsored content, display, video, newsletters, events, and performance-driven campaigns.
While this role is expected to excel at developing brand partnerships and content-led campaigns, the ideal candidate understands how modern marketers evaluate media investments across the entire funnel. Success comes from identifying client objectives and recommending the right mix of brand awareness, engagement, lead generation, and performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Ownership & Deal Execution
  • Own and deliver against a significant annual revenue quota focused on brand and content-driven revenue
  • Source, develop, and close integrated marketing partnerships end-to-end
  • Package and sell solutions including:
    • Sponsored Content (Articles & Video)
    • High-Impact Display Advertising
    • Native Advertising
    • Newsletter Sponsorships
    • Homepage & Homepage Takeovers
    • Executive Interviews
    • Webinar & Event Sponsorships
    • Performance Marketing (CPC, CPL, CPA)
    • Product Launch Campaigns
    • Custom Research & Content
    • Integrated Multi-Channel Programs
  • Negotiate pricing, packaging, and long-term partnership agreements
  • Develop strategic, consultative marketing programs that align with client KPIs including brand awareness, engagement, investor acquisition, lead generation, and customer growth.
  • Close mid-market to enterprise-level brand deals, including six-figure campaigns

Brand Partnerships & Account Development
  • Build and grow relationships with:
    • Marketing leaders (CMOs, VPs of Marketing, Brand Directors)
    • Growth and acquisition teams
    • Agencies and media buyers
  • Target key financial verticals including:
    • Fintech and investing apps
    • Brokerages and trading platforms
    • ETF issuers and asset managers
    • Crypto and emerging financial platforms

Pipeline Development
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of brand marketing opportunities
  • Prospect into both direct brands and agencies
  • Identify companies actively investing in awareness (e.g., launches, raises, new products)
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM discipline

What Success Looks Like
  • Consistently hitting or exceeding revenue targets driven by brand, content & performance partnerships
  • Closing multi-product, multi-month campaigns (articles + video + distribution + activations)
  • Building long-term relationships with marketing teams and agencies
  • Driving repeat revenue through always-on sponsored content programs
  • Establishing Benzinga as a go-to partner for retail investor-facing brand campaigns

Qualifications
Required
  • 5+ years of experience in:
    • Media sales
    • Digital advertising
    • Branded content or sponsorship sales
    • Financial services or fintech marketing/sales
    • Publisher side experience a plus
  • Proven track record of closing deals and hitting quota
  • Experience selling integrated digital marketing solutions, including display, sponsored content, native advertising, video, newsletters, performance marketing, lead generation, or custom sponsorships.
  • Strong ability to engage senior marketing stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing full sales cycle from prospecting to close

Preferred
  • Experience selling sponsored content, video, or integrated media campaigns
  • Familiarity with how brands allocate brand vs. performance budgets
  • Existing relationships with:
