The Android team's mission is to redefine how millions of users engage with their finances. We're focused on delivering intuitive, scalable, and inclusive mobile experiences that empower our customers to build better financial futures. We collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to ensure every interaction on Android reflects quality, performance, and care.

The Crypto expansion team is building the company products for new regions, extending crypto and adjacent financial experiences to customers around the world. The team owns all critical parts of the app across onboarding, funding, account setup, trading product integrations, and platform capabilities required to operate in new jurisdictions. This team sits at the intersection of building an internationalization platform and region specific product execution, to help the company be successful in new markets. Recent work in expansion effort has included Canada, Europe launches with multi-currency wallet capabilities, local funding rails, translations infrastructure, and new onboarding experiences for each region

As a Senior Android Engineer on the Crypto Expansions team, you'll help launch the company's crypto and adjacent financial products in new regions by building critical Android experiences end to end. You'll work across onboarding, local funding rails, account setup, multi-currency wallet capabilities, trading surfaces, and translations infrastructure, balancing region-specific execution with long-term platform thinking. You'll play a key role in delivering reliable, intuitive mobile experiences that make the company successful in global markets.

This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do
  • Build intuitive, elegant, and stable mobile experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android APIs
  • Lead the full lifecycle of product features - from ideation and technical design to implementation, testing, and release
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and Data Scientists to create impactful solutions
  • Champion engineering best practices that ensure code quality, scalability, and maintainability
  • Mentor junior developers and help elevate team standards and collaboration
What you bring
  • 6+ years of professional experience developing Android applications
  • Proficiency with Kotlin and/or Java, and a strong grasp of Android SDK and architecture patterns like MVVM
  • Experience using Jetpack Compose, Coroutines & Flow or RxJava, and libraries such as Retrofit and Room
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with a product-focused mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor peers, lead complex projects, and influence architecture decisions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$196,000 - $230,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$172,000 - $202,000 USD

$153,000 - $179,000 USD
