Our multidisciplinary team combines the expertise of structural and geotechnical engineers with experienced drillers, construction managers, geologists, and quality management specialists.

About this RoleThe Micropile Driller is responsible for safely drilling and installing micropile foundations in accordance with engineering specifications, project requirements, and Crux Subsurface procedures. This position operates specialized drilling equipment, completes required documentation, and supports field operations in remote and challenging environments. Crux Subsurface is signatory to the IBEW, and this position performs work under IBEW representation.What You'll Do
  • Perform drilling and installation of micropile foundations, including layout, setup, maintaining alignment, and installing materials per specifications. 
  • Operate track-, truck-, barge-, or helicopter-portable drill rigs and support grout plant operations. 
  • Conduct or assist with micropile testing and install caps according to engineering requirements. 
  • Complete daily drill reports, time-sheets, borehole logs, equipment inspections, and other required documentation. 
  • Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment and ensure equipment is operated only by qualifies personnel. 
  • Operate ancillary equipment such as telehandler, Morooka carrier, mini excavator, grout batch plant, and crane. 
  • Follow all Crux and project-specific safety procedures, including JSA, tailboards, and PPE requirements. 
  • Restore and exit drill sites in accordance with client expectations. 
  • Perform all work in accordance with IBEW agreements, work practices, and jurisdictional requirements. 
What You'll Bring
  • Valid, unrestricted Driver License and an acceptable driving record. Class A CDL with tanker endorsement preferred. 
  • OSHA-10 certification.
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Basic Rigging and Signaling training.
  • Ability to accurately complete all required drilling documentation. 
  • Prior experience with helicopter-supported, track-mounted, and truck-mounted drilling operations preferred.
