Cruise photographers take a variety of pictures of guests aboard a cruise ship and try to sell them to the guests as souvenirs. In this role, you may photograph guests during the pre-boarding phase or while they are participating in different activities aboard the ship. For example, you may take photographs of people during meals, at a wedding, swimming in the pool, and hiking on an island all on the same day. Cruise photographers may also print and sell pictures directly, edit photographs, and provide customer service while interacting with guests onboard the cruise. Some cruise photographers are independent contractors, while others work directly for a cruise line.
