The Impact you Will Have:

Under the direction of the Director of Sales, you will help Crucial Learning sell its award-winning corporate training and organizational performance tools, focusing on small businesses as your target market. As one of our Sales Representatives, you must have a sales background, have an enthusiasm for excellence in your work, and have a proven track record of success.

Note: We are prioritizing candidates who live within the Great Lakes and Midwest territories. The Great Lakes and Midwest territories include Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, and Ohio.

What You’ll Do:

As part of our small business sales team, you will be responsible for:

  • Generating high margin revenue by selling Crucial Learning full line of research-based training products and organizational performance tools
  • Leveraging AI-powered sales tools and resources to increase productivity and enhance the quality of every client interaction
  • Managing qualified sales leads from Crucial Learning marketing demand generation activities
  • Making outbound calls and e-mails to potential and existing customers
  • Applying consultative selling techniques and Crucial Learning's Value Selling methodology to engage senior executives and other key decision‑makers, uncovering their business priorities, objections, and needs
  • Practicing team selling by partnering with master trainers and other internal subject matter experts (SMEs) throughout prospect discovery calls, product demos, and client engagements
  • Building expert knowledge of our product content and training industry
  • Setting and accomplishing monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Growing existing accounts by cross‑selling and introducing additional Crucial Learning products and services
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed CRM records of prospect and customer activity to support pipeline visibility and forecasting
  • Participating in sales team and company meetings
  • Traveling to and attending trade shows

What You’ll Need:

  • 2-3 Years of B2B sales experience (inside sales preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience of achieving defined sales goals (e.g., quota and other sales KPIs)
  • Ideal candidate has experience selling training and consulting solutions to HR, L&D, and Executive buyers. SAAS experience a plus
  • Experience using consultative selling techniques and a Value Selling (or comparable) methodology to sell to senior executives and other decision‑makers within client organizations
  • Experience partnering with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) in a team-selling environment
  • Experience identifying and closing cross‑sell/upsell opportunities to grow existing accounts
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Self‑starter, goal oriented with a competitive desire
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Team player mentality
  • Comfort leveraging AI‑based sales tools and technologies to improve productivity
  • An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), with strong attention to CRM data hygiene
  • Must be able to attend in person events at least once a year.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually, with a target total cash compensation opportunity of $115,000 - $125,000 through participation in the Company's variable incentive plan. Actual base salary and total cash compensation will depend on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, location, and achievement under the Company's variable incentive plan.
