What is crown bridge design in dentistry?

Crown bridge design refers to the process of planning and creating dental restorations that replace missing or damaged teeth. A crown is a cap that covers a damaged tooth, while a bridge is used to fill the gap created by one or more missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth to neighboring natural teeth or implants. Proper design ensures that the restoration is functional, aesthetically pleasing, and well-fitting, which is essential for long-term oral health. Dental technicians or prosthodontists typically use digital or traditional methods to design crowns and bridges customized for each patient. The process involves careful assessment of bite, fit, and appearance to restore normal chewing and speaking functions.
