Job Summary
We are seeking a professional Security Officer to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe and secure environment. You will protect our premises, assets, attendees, and employees and prevent any illegal or inappropriate occurrences. The ideal candidate has experience with public safety and security and operates with a high degree of integrity at all times. 

Responsibilities 

  • Monitor entrances and exits to control access and ensure authorized personnel are present. 
  • Observe crowd behavior and identify potential issues or conflicts. 
  • Regularly patrol the event venue to maintain a visible presence and deter potential threats.
  • Guide and direct attendees to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent overcrowding. 
  • Implement crowd control measures, such as setting up barriers or using loud voice for communication.
  • Assist with evacuations or other emergency procedures. 
  • Verify identification and credentials of attendees and staff. 
  • Control access to restricted areas or VIP zones. 
  • Manage visitor logs and ensure proper security procedures are followed. 
  • Provide first aid or assistance as needed. 
  • Cooperate with event staff, security personnel, and emergency services. 
  • May be tasked with guarding specific areas or individuals. 
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times. 
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Security Officer or in a similar position is preferred.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures.
  • Excellent written communication skills and report writing ability.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Ability to pass a BCI fingerprint check.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, with good vision and stamina.
