Join our Infrastructure team as a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer and help shape the secure, reliable, and high-performing systems that power our business. As a Linux subject matter expert, you will take ownership of complex enterprise environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, using automation and modern engineering practices to improve resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency. This is an opportunity to solve meaningful technical challenges, collaborate with a team-first group of engineers, and continue expanding your expertise while supporting business-critical platforms. Responsibilities

  • Automate, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure using Ansible and other similar tools.

  • Build, implement, and support tools and services to maintain the reliability of our infrastructure and its services. 

  • This consists of AWS native, open source, third party, and custom solutions.

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate tasks and deploy infrastructure and applications in a consistent manner.

  • Write code, scripts, and contribute to shared codebases.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, test, and production environments.

  • Support user needs regarding compute and storage needs for High Performance Compute environments on prem and in the cloud.

  • Participate in planned maintenance, and unplanned outages, and incident.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar.

  • Conceptual knowledge and understanding of frameworks of a DevOps and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) approach.

  • Expert knowledge of Linux operating system fundamentals including experience with multiple distributions, building software from source, and Network attached filesystems.

  • Expert knowledge of one or more programming and scripting language.  Shell scripting and Python are preferred.

  • Expert knowledge of on-premises and cloud native infrastructures.

  • Expert knowledge of navigating a TCP IP based environment.

  • Participate in a security first mindset.

  • Experience in a VMWare environment is a plus.

  • Experience with HPC systems like Grid Engine or Slurm is a plus

  • Good written communication skills\
