Responsibilities
  • Work on projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, including but not limited to major treatment plant expansions, regional water quality studies, and critical water reuse projects that will create sustainable and resilient water supplies for the world
  • Plans, schedules, and conducts engineering work on projects, with responsibility and authority for budget, schedule contractual obligations, and quality standards
  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies
  • May have responsibility for several projects concurrently
  • Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with key engineers and officials of other organizations and companies, requiring skill in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
  • Has responsibility for preparing proposals, conducting interviews, and negotiating contracts with clients after selection
  • Develops and maintains significant relationships with client management personnel
  • Delivers high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Identifies need for and directs subconsultants performing services on projects
  • Active in professional associations, including presentations of technical papers, member of technical committees, and officer of local or national organization
  • Travel required when requested
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • 10-15 years of directly-relevant experience in Wastewater Engineering working with wastewater treatment facilities and wastewater collection systems
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Must have demonstrated ability and experience in the design and construction phase of small, medium, and large sized infrastructure projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
