Job description

Oversees the clinical and case management functions within crisis services, ensuring delivery of trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions and appropriate supervision. Lead clinicians, case managers, and support staff in providing high-quality crisis evaluation, intervention, and care coordination.

  • Supervise licensed clinicians, case managers, behavioral health technicians, and peer support specialists.
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is completed accurately and on time, meets DCF, AHCA, and accrediting body standards, and adheres to required billing and coding practices.
  • Partner with revenue cycle and finance teams to ensure proper use of CPT/HCPCS codes, service modifiers, and payer policies; participate in budget discussions.
  • Oversee crisis assessments, safety planning, discharge planning, and coordination of follow-up care.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary case reviews and interdepartmental coordination.
  • Support trauma-informed, culturally responsive, person-centered service delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision consistent with Florida Qualified Supervisor requirements (Rule 64B4-2.002).
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts, including monitoring clinical outcomes, service utilization and risk indicators.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners (law enforcement, hospitals, community agencies) to strengthen crisis response networks.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise in the center's EMR system and oversee its effective use within the clinical services team.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource able to cross-cover responsibilities of other department managers during absences or peak operational periods.
  • May include evening, weekend, or on-call rotation coverage due to the nature of crisis work.

Education:

  • Master'sย degreeย inย Socialย Work,ย Counseling,ย orย relatedย behavioralย healthย field.
  • Complianceย withย Chapterย 491,ย F.S.,ย andย Ruleย 64B4ย supervisionย andย documentationย requirements.

Experience:

  • Minimumย 3-5ย yearsย inย behavioralย healthย leadership
  • Minimumย 5ย yearsย ofย clinicalย experience,ย including 2ย years inย crisis orย acute care.
  • Approvedย Qualifiedย Supervisor credential required.
  • Experienceย supervisingย multidisciplinaryย crisisย teams.
  • Strongย knowledgeย ofย crisisย intervention,ย suicideย prevention,ย andย Bakerย Actย procedures preferred.
  • Trainingย inย trauma-informedย leadership,ย recovery-orientedย systemsย ofย care,ย and/orย crisis system transformation preferred.
  • Workingย knowledgeย ofย theย historyย andย functionย ofย alternativesย toย traditionalย emergency psychiatric care preferred.

Certification:

Activeย Floridaย clinicalย license (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist).

Licensure:

Validย Floridaย Driver'sย Licenseย required.
