JOB TITLE: Clinical Coordinator DATE PREPARED: 2/9/2024

JOB SUMMARY: The Clinical Coordinator will function as a central point of contact for SCHOOL BOARD when identified crises warrant mobilization of clinicians to affected school(s).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification with or without an accommodation.   • Coordinates mobilization of contractor clinicians to crisis-impacted schools and on-site clinical activities
  • Collaborates with crisis response clinicians in triaging crisis survivors, assessing need for immediate individual and/or group interventions, as well as follow-up therapy
  • Ensures completion of proper releases for follow-up clinical services, as appropriate, and completion of necessary disclosures for information-sharing with authorized school personnel
  • Facilitates referrals on behalf of crisis survivors to contractor clinical programs appropriate to meet their needs
  • Ensures timely contractor clinical services follow-up for crisis survivors referred for therapy services in the aftermath of crisis events
  • Coordinates mental health awareness training schedule in cooperation with school board leadership
  • Provides baseline instruction to prospective crisis response clinicians on the fundamental principals and precepts of Trauma-Informed Care and conducts updated training to established crisis response clinicians semi-annually
  • Provides clinical consultation and support to school board Mental Head Specialists as mutually agreed between contractor and school board administration
  • Consults with school board leadership and Mental Health Specialists on risk assessments for students who present the greatest potential risk to self and/or others
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to contracted clinicians and counselors as LCS Academies
  • The ability to comply with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
  • Master's degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or other relevant Human Service Field required
  • Licensure required as Clinical Social Work, Mental Health Counselor, or Marriage and Family Therapist valid in FL

Experience: Minimum ofTwo (2) years of direct clinical experience preferable in a health or mental health setting with an emphasis on population to be served in the assigned area
Driving Requirements:
    • Must be Over the age of 21 required
    • Minimum of 5-years driving experience required
    • Possess a Valid FL Driver's license (within 30 days of hire if currently do not possess)
    • Possess a continuously valid US Driver's license for the past three years, from date of issue required
    • Safe Driving record required
