New Zealand-based Edutech company Crimson Education was founded in 2013 from the idea that through personalised education, we can transform students into the world leaders of tomorrow. Since then, we have rapidly grown a mission-driven team that is dedicated to building the education system for the 22nd century. Our network includes 2,400 tutors and consultants worldwide who work with over 20,000 students.
With university admissions rates on a continued decline, Crimson is proud to have built the world's first and only global program featuring strategic mentorship, extracurricular development, and academic support for students aged 11-14- Crimson Rise.
This is a full time position, fully remote, with an immediate start.
Strategy Consultants are exemplars of Crimson Education's philosophy dedicated to making a difference in students' lives, helping bridge gaps between present and future goals by personalising blueprints that will become the basis of all academic, extracurricular and personal development.
As a Crimson Rise Strategy Consultant, you will work directly with young students (typically grades 6-8, ages 11-14) and their parents to develop overarching academic, extracurricular, and personal developmental goals that can be executed over a period of one to three years leading up to high school.
What success looks like:
Guide students in pre-college academic strategy, including:
  • Course selection
  • Developing healthy study habits
  • Recognizing and building on strengths
  • Finding and maintaining an innate love of learning

Guide students in pre-college extracurricular strategy, including:
  • Pinpointing and owning interests and dislikes
  • Exploring new extracurriculars and hobbies
  • Deepening established extracurriculars and hobbies
  • Brainstorming personal projects
  • Summer activity planning

Guide students in personal development, including:
  • Goal-setting
  • Stress management
  • Time management
  • Reflection on priorities, interests, motivators, and strengths

Guide students in additional developmental work, including:
  • Building tailored reading lists
  • Improving vocabulary
  • Exploring majors and careers
  • Taking supplementary online classes

How you'll know you're crushing it:
  • Expertly support students through their Crimson Rise journey
  • Meeting with students at least once a month from the start of their program
  • Excellent student feedback, as determined by session feedback and NPS
  • Adherence to established service protocols and timely responses to clients

What skills and experience you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree from a top University; advanced degrees will be advantageous.
  • Passion for coaching young adults and appreciation of global perspectives
  • Superior planning and organisational skills; experience in project management, event coordination, product management a plus
  • Superior written and oral communication skills
  • Resilience when working independently under pressure
  • Experience in formal education, coaching, tutoring, and admissions consulting preferred
