Job Description
Public Records Researchers investigate the criminal backgrounds of our clients' applicants. Each team within the Public Records department handles a different part of the background screening process. This particular job opening is to locate an individual who would be interested in working working with criminal court case records at the county, state, and federal levels.
Training is comprehensive and is handled by the company and the work itself increases an individual's critical thinking skills. Those interested in fields related to criminal justice are welcome to apply, but prior knowledge of the criminal justice system and/or an academic background in that particular field is not a requirement.
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, and the available shifts are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Training will be conducted on the 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift for 2-4 weeks.
This is an on-site position out of Warminster, PA. It pays $16hr.
Responsibilities
  • Verify background information on applicants for employment and applicant screening purposes. Information verified is criminal, civil, and sex offender history.
  • Complete research via phone, mail, fax, and contacting agents.
  • Follow up with courts for status of search.
  • Enter researched information and notes into proprietary software.
  • Review and analyze source documentation for pre-employment screening purposes

Required Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Education
The candidate we are seeking will have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent.
