Job description

Under the direction of the Manager Intel, the Intelligence Analyst conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis consisting of data from entities across the business Enterprise. With an all-hazards approach, the Intelligence Analyst provides a unique combination of traditional tactical and strategic analytical techniques and methods to identify existing and emerging security-related risks to the Enterprise. This role plays an instrumental role in producing strategic-related products to include quarterly and annual threat assessments, which are shared with Tribal and Casino business leaders.
Delivering actionable intelligence to decision makers, this role will focus on areas of concentration that include patterns of potential criminal activity, threats of workplace violence, potential malicious insider activity, suspicious activity, public health matters, entertainment threats, emergency management, fire, and Tribal safety and security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conducts threat analysis and produces assessments for the Tribal Community and the Enterprise and coordinates with Tribal and Casino leaders, and law enforcement agencies as needed. Represents the department publicly and serves as a key representative to internal customers, vendors, and visiting patrons.
2. Responsible for security risk and threat monitoring, research and collect data from numerous sources and utilize platform tools to conduct analysis.
3. Produces well-written strategic analytical products and present findings to Casino and Tribal leaders.
4. Serves on committees and forms law enforcement/private sector partnerships focused on terrorism liaison, physical security, asset protection, and workplace violence prevention.
5. Supports and develops models to identify existing and emerging security risks; define metrics that influence risk mitigation decisions. May be asked to assist other team members on major incidents and complex situations where their experience is required. Maintains on-call status and responds as requested.
6. Provides information about policies, procedures, and ordinances as they affect the visiting public and maintains good public relations with internal customers and vendors by using a variety of quality customer service-oriented communication skills, and special techniques to interact formally and informally with community groups and customers of all backgrounds.
7. Understands, applies, and ensures the department's compliance with established professional standards, directives, approved procedures and policies, applicable federal and state regulations along with tribal ordinances and all Indian gaming related regulations.
8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Intelligence or related field is required; an advanced certificate in Intelligence Analysis or related discipline may be considered.
  • Minimum of at least two (2) years' recent experience in the military, public, or private sector security or intelligence related position is required.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
  • Previous corporate risk intelligence experience is preferred.
  • Verifiable experience in conducting security threat analysis, assessment, and mitigation is required. This can be based on public sector, law enforcement, or corporate security experience.
  • Able to read, speak, and write intelligently in the English language is required. Bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Verifiable experience in drafting policies and procedures for an organization of comparable size to the the Enterprise is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the security industry and developed relationships with a variety of security professionals is highly desired.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver's license or insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT

  • Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.

  • Physical activities that apply to the essential functions of the position are balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Speech sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, in meetings, via videoconference and over the telephone.
  • Visual acuity that meets the requirements of the position: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading and visual inspection of employees, visitors or facility.
  • Mobility sufficient to safely move in an office environment, walk, stoop, bend and kneel, and enter, exit and operate a motor vehicle in the course of travel to promotional events, meetings, conferences, trade shows and San Manuel properties.
  • Endurance sufficient to sit, walk and stand for extended periods, and maintain efficiency throughout the entire work shift and during extended work hours.
  • The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
