Job description

The Crew Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and maintaining crew schedules to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. This role supports daily operations by assigning staff and crew to assignments, managing staffing changes, and responding to operational disruptions while minimizing delays and maintaining operational efficiency.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create, monitor, and adjust crew schedules to ensure adequate staffing for all positions needed.
  • Monitor crew legality, qualifications, rest requirements, and training status.
  • Coordinate coverage for sick calls, vacation, weather events, mechanical delays, and other operational disruptions.
  • Communicate schedule changes and assignments to crews on time.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to resolve scheduling issues.
  • Maintain accurate crew records and scheduling documentation within crew management systems.
  • Analyze staffing levels and recommend schedule adjustments to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support irregular operations (IROPs) by developing recovery plans to minimize operational impact.
  • Prepare reports related to staffing, crew utilization, overtime, and schedule performance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders while balancing operational priorities.
