Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is looking for a dedicated Survey Crew Chief to join our team in Georgetown, Delaware. In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated survey instrumentation and a solid understanding of construction plans and stakeout techniques.
  • Perform boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout surveys.
  • Utilize robotic total stations and GPS/GNSS equipment to collect accurate survey data.
  • Ability to work independently as a one-person robotic survey crew while coordinating with project managers and field teams
  • Interpret construction plans, cut sheets, and perform survey calculations.
  • Conduct field data collection for topographic and boundary surveys.

Requirements
Key qualifications include:
  • Function effectively as a one-person crew utilizing cutting-edge robotic and GPS equipment.
  • Working knowledge of construction layout, cut sheets, and survey calculations, as well as boundary and title surveys.
  • Experience with topographic surveys and the collection of survey data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD is an advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a survey crew or party chief role.
