Job description

Job Summary The Director of Extended Learning and Workforce Development supports the growth and delivery of workforce-aligned, non-credit programming through strategic coordination of initiatives, partnership development, and targeted marketing efforts. This role manages key programs such as KU Advance, collaborates with campus and community partners, and utilizes data and systems to enhance program effectiveness, expand access for adult learners, and support student success and enrollment growth. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and enrollment in or completion of a master's program (higher education, counseling, adult learning, or related field preferred) Demonstrated experience supporting extended learning, workforce development, or non-credit programming initiatives Experience working with Modern Campus/Destiny One, Coursera, and Credly learning platforms and systems Background in marketing, outreach, or enrollment growth strategies Experience in graphic design and visual content creation, with proficiency in tools such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Experience collaborating across departments and with external partners Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in education Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education, adult learning or workforce development Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience developing and managing external partnerships and customized training programs Familiarity with website management systems (e.g., Ingeniux) and basic data analysis Supplemental Information Applications & resumes will be accepted until the position is filled, however; to ensure full consideration, application materials should be received no later than the end of day on June 23, 2026

This is a benefits eligible part-time position at 20 hours per week. The starting salary range for this position is $37,440.00. This position may be eligible for a flexible hybrid work arrangement, permitting a combination of on-site and remote work, subject to applicable organizational policies, operational requirements, and supervisory approval
