Role:
As the key financial partner for an actively growing membership, the primary purpose of Cy-Fair FCU is to provide products, services, and business practices that write good into the life stories around us. To achieve this, the Credit Union Growth Officer is responsible for developing new relationships that lead to external sales of new memberships, accounts, and loans to increase usage of the credit union's core products. As a member of the Credit Union Growth Team, this position engages and executes external sales to increase net new memberships, accounts and loans according to assigned sales goals. This role requires high visibility in the community, creativity, relationship building, and a disciplined pursuit of new business through organized prospecting, sales processes, tracking, presentations, and high-quality service to both external and internal stakeholders. Sales activities frequently include membership drives, cold-call development, outbound calling initiatives, and face-to-face sales to successfully develop and execute sales campaigns, B2B sales promotions, special events, and cross-selling.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Executes sales strategy for new business acquisition through business to business (B2B) and person to person (P2P) sales. Responsible for identifying, establishing, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with key contacts in the community, chamber, school districts, and businesses within Harris and Waller Counties. Identifies and captures opportunities to expand new memberships, consumer accounts and loans, small business accounts and commercial loans with existing and prospective key employer groups through regular contact via site-visits, presentations and seminars, partner functions etc. Focuses on weekly outbound sales strategies, sales prospecting, and cold calling while tracking business leads in the CRM. Analyze the industry, as well as competition to determine threats and new opportunities. Contribute to the overall teams success by achieving and/or exceeding individual sales objective(s) by practicing and promoting the sales, service, member-centric, and results-oriented culture of Cy-Fair FCU.

Develops an ongoing planned program for scheduled events, tracking and reporting for Prairie View A & M University and LSC Cy-Fair Student, Faculty, and Alumni populations in accordance with their respective Agreements. Provide statistical data on demographics of LSC Cy-Fair and Prairie View A & M University and other Key Employer Groups as need to enhance marketing and sales efforts. Prepares comprehensive written reports on development efforts and keeps Outlook calendars current with all activities. Utilizes Credit Union approved surveys semi-annually to determine the needs of Key Employer Group member base. Responsible for tracking penetration levels of all assigned Key Employer Groups. Prepares materials (presentations, new member information and promotional items, etc.) for on-site Key Employer Group visits.

Performance Measurements:
1.
To practice, promote, and support the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the CU and to ensure they are carried out by each employee.
2.
Attend a minimum of 5 chamber events (per quarter) including but not limited to luncheons, ribbon cuttings, ambassador functions and the like. Attendance to these events should yield new suspects and prospects to be tracked in the CRM.
3.
Organize and attend a minimum of 10 Key Employer Group functions for the year, including orientations, membership drives, vendor fairs, and new member packet distribution.
4.
To work effectively with others in the credit union in supporting the business development activity. To keep management informed of key issues affecting the department. Also must be available to work occasional Saturdays due to specific events.
5.
Meet established loan, deposit and new account goals as outlined in the Strategic Plan. Conduct in personal seminar to advance member education and financial wellness.
6.
Must be well versed in Regulations such as: REG CC, BSA, OFAC, Reg B, Reg Z and MIP (CIP).
7.
Coordinate Member Appreciation days with current Key Employer Groups to obtain new business and foster current relationships.
8.
Serves as liaison for Key Employer Group(s) and engages with internal departments and operations staff to effectively deliver Credit Union products and services. Coordinates effective hand-off of new members to operations staff.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
Two years to five years of Business to Business Sales experience or related experience.
Education
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills
Motivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.
Other Skills
1. Must have outstanding communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking.
2. Must have business development and/or sales skills and be self-motivated.
3. Proficiency with use of personal computer and multiple software applications is required.
4. Prior experience in credit union or financial industry is a plus.

6. Must be able to work and travel independently. Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
7. English/Spanish language preferred.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
Vision requirements include: close vision and the ability to focus. Nature of the position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a maximum of 30 pounds.
Work Environment
Full-time employees are required to complete (16) hours of volunteerism and (8) hours for Part-time employees. All encouraged volunteer time has to be approved prior to event. In addition, needs to benefit or have an impact in Harris and Waller Counties.
