The Commercial Business Analyst III will lead the development and delivery of analytics, reporting, and decision-support solutions that support Commercial Marketing business performance. Job Profile Summary
The Commercial Business Analyst III will lead the development and delivery of analytics, reporting, and decision-support solutions that support Commercial Marketing business performance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Commercial Marketing Analytics & Insights
• Serve as a trusted business partner and primary analytics resource for Commercial Marketing stakeholders by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable analysis that supports business objectives and strategic initiatives.
• Analyze complex commercial, operational, financial, and market data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and drivers of business performance, develop actionable recommendations that improve decision quality and business outcomes
• Plan and conduct comprehensive analyses that include data gathering, validation, and synthesis to provide actionable business recommendations
• Develop, maintain, and enhance economic models, forecasts, dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that support commercial activities, trading execution, and long-term planning
• Evaluate business opportunities, investments, and commercial strategies using financial, operational, and economic analysis
• Present analytical findings, business insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership in a clear and concise manner
Data and Analytics Solutions
• Acquire, validate, reconcile, transform, and analyze large and complex datasets to ensure the availability of accurate and trustworthy information for decision-making
• Develop repeatable reporting and visualization solutions that improve transparency, increase efficiency, and provide consistent business performance measurement
• Drive data quality improvements by partnering with subject matter experts to identify root causes, resolve data issues, establish standards, and improve information reliability and consistency
• Own and maintain critical analytics, reports, models, and decision-support tools to ensure reliability, consistency, and ongoing business value
Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives
• Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects that improve business processes, reporting capabilities, data accessibility, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness
• Document business processes and context, analytical and reporting methodologies, and data flows to improve transparency, sustainability, and knowledge sharing
• Support adoption of analytical tools, reporting solutions, and process improvements through training, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define analytical needs, prioritize enhancements, and deliver scalable reporting and data solutions
Education
• Bachelor's Degree Finance, Business Analytics / Intelligence, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or other related field with specific job-related experience as follows:
Experience
• Significant experience in analytics, commercial analysis, business analysis, financial analysis, reporting, data management, or related functions
• Experience developing and maintaining financial models, forecasts, reports, dashboards, and business intelligence solutions.
• Experience analyzing large and complex datasets and translating findings into actionable business recommendations
• Experience working with commodity market data, commodity transactional systems, business agreements, operational data, financial and accounting data
• Experience collaborating across multiple business functions to deliver analytics, reporting, or process improvement initiatives:
• Experience with data visualization, reporting platforms, database technologies, and SQL-based data analysis.
