Job description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of Paid Digital Acquisitions as a Product Management Director to lead and scale customer growth across paid digital marketing channels for the Branded Credit Card business. This role will play a critical leadership position in defining and executing paid acquisition strategies that drive responsible growth, improve customer conversion, and strengthen full-funnel marketing performance. The role will oversee a growing team and partner closely with Marketing, Credit, Analytics, Finance, and Product to deliver customer-led acquisition journeys and maximize return on investment across paid channels. In this role, you will:

  • Define and execute the strategy, vision, and roadmap for paid digital acquisition channels, driving growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage

  • Lead development of customer-led acquisition journeys across paid digital channels, ensuring cohesive experiences from awareness through conversion

  • Own performance across primary paid channels (e.g., search, social, programmatic, affiliates), optimizing spend allocation and channel mix

  • Own and manage third-party agency relationships and contracts to drive business outcomes

  • Drive in-channel offer strategy and creative testing, continuously improving engagement, conversion rates, and customer quality

  • Lead digital conversion optimization efforts, including landing experiences, funnel performance, and test-and-learn frameworks

  • Develop and evaluate paid channel investment scenarios, optimizing for growth, efficiency, and ROI under varying market conditions

  • Partner with broader marketing teams to support mid-funnel awareness strategies, ensuring alignment between brand, consideration, and acquisition efforts

  • Leverage data and analytics to monitor performance, diagnose drivers, and identify optimization opportunities across the funnel

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Credit, Risk, Finance, Product, Tech) to ensure alignment with risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, and financial objectives

  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear, data-driven insights and executive-level storytelling

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, growing team, including management of people leaders and individual contributors

  • Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure delivery against strategic objectives and performance targets

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous optimization across paid digital channels

  • Build strong partnerships across Marketing, Analytics, Credit, and Product to drive integrated acquisition strategies

  • Foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve deliveryevidencedthrough key agilitymetrics

  • Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the rightanswer


Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Product Management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Extensive credit card and consumer lending experience, preferably with multiple leading credit card issuers, spanning a broad range of customer segments and portfolios, including consumer, small business, commercial, and co-brand/partnerships

  • Previous General Manager experience with P&L accountability within credit card businesses, including responsibility for strategy, growth, profitability, and overall business performance

  • Prior experience in credit card lending roles spanning multiple aspects of lending and credit risk (originations, customer management, fraud, collections), with a strong understanding and application of risk management principles

  • Prior experience in roles leading launches or implementation of new products or capabilities, or integrations/transformations of technology platforms

  • Prior experience in data science or analytics roles involving projects with data infrastructure (data, platforms, models, monitoring tools)

  • Deep experience developing and executing full-funnel acquisition strategies, including management of paid digital acquisition channels and optimization of marketing performance

  • Exceptional analytical skills and expertise in credit, product, and marketing data analysis, with demonstrated experience leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making

  • Exceptional strategic and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to drive clarity in ambiguity, navigate complex credit and operational challenges, and synthesize multidimensional information into actionable insights, decisions, and business outcomes

  • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills grounded in rigorous analysis, logical reasoning, market and customer dynamics, and operational assessments

  • A demonstrated focus on leading, coaching, mentoring and guiding team member development

  • Exposure to AI-enabled product capabilities and tools (including Copilot or similar technologies)

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex business, operational, and analytical concepts into clear insights, recommendations, and decisions for diverse audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, collaborate, and build partnerships across all organizational levels, including senior executive stakeholders

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
