Job Description:

At Regions, the Credit Products Real Estate Group Manager oversees the real estate banking credit products teams responsible for partnering with a given business segment, coverage team, and risk management to lead the credit process for the area or group supported. These teams are responsible for operating in a client-facing capacity with the coverage team on the extension of credit products transactions to meet client needs. This individual will lead Credit Products Real Estate Managers to ensure proper execution of all real estate functions in credit products, including Real Estate Corporate Banking, Income Property Finance, and Home Builder Finance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assumes complete ownership of Real Estate Credit Products business and business direction: executing growth initiatives, ensuring CBG strategic alignment, and defining strategies to drive profitability

  • Leads Credit Products Real Estate Managers who oversee real estate functions, including Real Estate Corporate Banking, Income Property Finance, and Home Builder Finance

  • Oversees the Asset Management team, implementing CBG strategy and process improvement initiatives

  • Ensures the strategic development and direction of the REB Credit Products group by providing leadership that drives growth, operational efficiency, and team alignment

  • Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators for approval document quality, credit servicing quality, and credit approval turnaround time - launching process improvement initiatives when necessary

  • Serves as a coaching resource around client selectivity, loan structuring, underwriting, servicing, and risk rating

  • Supports, communicates and leads new risk management initiatives in partnership with Risk and Compliance

  • Implements proper oversight and partnership with fulfillment to ensure loans are properly coded, booked and documented in accordance with approval

  • Continuously recruiting and building bench strength for the Real Estate Credit Products group

  • Creates and maintains strong working relationships with Key Stakeholders including Credit Products Leaders, Credit Officers, Client Coverage Teams, Capital Markets, Corporate & Leveraged Lending, Senior Leadership and Human Resources

  • Acts as a liaison to Credit Review, Risk Management and Audit for identification of any weaknesses in the risk management practices of Credit Products Real Estate teams

  • Ensures timeliness and accuracy of risk rating and develops a dynamic risk rating culture

  • Serves in a leadership position for all risk management initiatives and activities

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

This is a single incumbent position .

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting, or Finance

  • Fifteen (15) years of real estate underwriting, financial analysis, and portfolio management, risk management or relationship management experience

  • Five (5) years coaching, leadership, and/or management experience

  • Strong knowledge of the real estate industry, real estate market performance, and real estate loan structures.

  • Legal documentation experience

Preferences

  • Completion of a corporate credit training program (or equivalent corporate banking/finance or real estate experience)

  • Master's of Business Administration (MBA)

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$294,640.50 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
